Share:

NTT DATA, a global leader in digital business and IT services, has announced a Generative AI (GenAI) Talent Development Framework aimed at accelerating employee training initiatives. This framework establishes a global standard with multiple levels of GenAI expertise to rapidly cultivate a skilled workforce that can maximize client value from GenAI technology.

The new framework targets fundamental GenAI training for all of the company’s approximately 200,000 employees worldwide. It aims to certify at least 15,000 higher-level GenAI practitioners by the end of fiscal year 2024 and to double that number to 30,000 or more by fiscal year 2026. These GenAI experts will provide advisory support for GenAI development and deployments.

NTT DATA prioritizes employee training to effectively use GenAI across diverse applications, establishing a standardized evaluation and development roadmap. The framework outlines four levels of expertise, from essential GenAI knowledge to expert leaders capable of driving technological innovation. Tailored training will be offered based on roles, skill levels, and industry specializations.

Leveraging NTT Group’s 40 years of AI R&D and ranking number 12 globally for GenAI patents, NTT DATA boasts a robust ecosystem of partners and comprehensive capabilities, from strategy development to deployment. The company adheres to NTT DATA Group’s AI Guidelines, committed to innovating in GenAI to enhance its operations and those of its clients.

Yutaka Sasaki, President and CEO of NTT DATA, stated, “With the rapid advancement of Generative AI, talent development has become a social imperative. By utilizing our established framework, we can cultivate highly skilled professionals, significantly contributing to our customers’ businesses and the broader market.”
