Concentrix Philippines, the country’s largest private employer and global leader in technology and services, recently launched its new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, “Gadgets for Good,” in Quezon City. This donation initiative aims to provide essential technology, such as computers, to students across schools, local government units, and non-profits nationwide, empowering young learners with the tools needed for success in today’s digital world.
The October 21 launch featured Concentrix leaders and key representatives from government and education sectors, including Jopat Lelay from the IT-BPO Association, Graciela Mendoza from the Department of Education, and Emmy Lou Delfin from DICT Mimaropa. A ceremonial turnover and memorandum signing underscored the program’s multi-sectoral support. “As a tech-driven company, we’re proud to formally launch ‘Gadgets for Good’ to uplift communities we serve,” said Tonichi Parekh, Concentrix VP for Client Success. “We believe technology should empower, not create barriers.”
Ahead of the launch, on October 18, Concentrix leaders joined DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara to formalize support for other CSR initiatives, including “Turo Guro,” a program that upskills teachers in English language and introduces innovation and business ethics. These initiatives, collectively under “Concentrix Cares,” reflect the company’s commitment to education and community empowerment.
Atty. Michael Montero, Head of Legal, highlighted that “Gadgets for Good” aligns with the broader goals of fostering educational equity. “Through collaboration with DepEd, DICT, and local governments, we aim to ensure digital inclusivity for Filipino students,” Montero said.
